AEGIS. A strategic industrial research project aimed at developing new products.

Hazitek 2020-2022 Strategic in Cooperation, with the participation of seven companies and two centres of the Basque Science and Technology Network, Tekniker and Goizper.

The AEGIS project is led by the company ORONA with the participation among others of the company DINYCON SISTEMAS.

Two centres participate as Basque Science and Technology Network Centres (RVCT): TEKNIKER and GOIZPER.

The consortium thus formed by this group of companies and the two centres of the RVCT form a highly complementary and multidisciplinary group with extensive experience, which will enable the creation of synergies between them and the increase of knowledge, and which will guarantee the achievement of the different objectives set out in AEGIS and the success in achieving the main objectives of the project:

DINYCON main objective, and the reason why it decided to participate in this project, is to obtain a high added value product to provide its clients, public authorities and the private sector, with the characterisation of pedestrian dynamics in certain spaces, so that we have real-time information on the position of people in order to maintain the security measures established as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

• Development of a software for counting and positioning of building users based on artificial vision technology.
• Correlation study of the number of users existing at any given time in the controlled area.

The project will develop and validate the software at laboratory scale, then at real level in a building, integrating it with the Scada control and monitoring system.

The project stimulates the generation of original knowledge that will materialise in the development of patentable technologies.
