Improved Accessibility to the Morlans Elevator in San Sebastian

The lack of accessible information for Morlans elevator users, especially from its lower access, was finally solved thanks to the implementation of an innovative system developed by Dinycon Sistemas.

Before this intervention, users were forced to travel more than 700 meters to the upper access just to check if the elevator was operational, a particularly uncomfortable situation for the elderly or people with reduced mobility. This not only made access difficult, but also discouraged its use due to the uncertainty generated.

The solution implemented consisted of a traffic light-type information panel, located at a traffic circle 700 meters from the elevator, which clearly indicates whether the elevator is in operation (green light) or out of service (red light). This strategic location prevents people from having to travel that distance only to discover that the elevator is not operational. The signaling is possible thanks to a wireless communication system between two PLCs, a central server and routers, which guarantee the transmission of the status in real time, without the need for wiring between the accesses.

The system not only improved the user experience, but also had advanced functionalities such as automatic shutdown after hours and a private web interface for remote viewing, including incident history and technical diagnostics.

With this solution, Dinycon not only transformed an everyday problem into a more efficient and accessible user experience, but also developed a proposal that is difficult to find in the market. It is a clear example of how the company demonstrates its ability to solve accessibility problems by meeting the real needs of citizens. Technology is thus placed at the service of people through a simple, effective, sustainable and, above all, differentiating solution.
